Using the latest carbon forming technology, we are able to build a very strong rim from carbon only. Combined with Toray T700 and T800, we researched and developed a rim in flyweight, which is lighter than most of the rims in the market.
To meet the demand for lightest carbon rims, special layup is designed and different grade of carbon fiber is chosen on different models to make the lightest rim without losing stiffness.
The max recommended rider’s weight for this version is 90kg.
The new wider rim generation provides a better support to the tire and reduce the rolling resistance, increasing at the same time the wheel strength and providing enhanced aerodynamics.
UD - unidirectional fiber / Braided UD/ 3K/ 3K Twill/
UD is more recommended for higher strength.
Spoke hole is drilled at a certain angle according the hub flange which allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. As a result, there will be fewer broken spokes and nipples.
The hookless version is designed with low pressure impact resistance in mind and the maximum recommended tire pressure for our hookless rims is 72psi. Please also refer to any additional guidance from the tire manufacturer, and do not exceed the tire's maximum stated pressure.
The hookless rim is designed for more safety, better impact protection at lower pressures and the maximum recommended tire pressure for our hookless rims is 70psi for road type and 50psi for gravel.

When it comes to spoke nipples, the most common question asked by beginners and seasoned riders is as follows:
Aluminum alloy or brass? Which one is better?
In general, aluminum alloy nipples are lighter and has more color options while brass nipples are more durable and heavier.
Double Square Secure Lock or Polyax Secure Lock?
All deerobust wheels come standard with sapim polyax secure lock nipples. The advantages are as follows:
1.Silent, effective truing with no more squeaks.
2.Virtually torsion free spokes
3.High tension wheels without problems
4.No over tight nipples on spoke threads
5.No more oily and dirty wheels
6.Just efficient dry working and clean hands
7.No necessary cleaning
8.Wheels are easier to true.
Double Square Secure Lock nipples will be used in below situations:
1.Building small size of rims.
The space for truing is limited using regular wrench. By using double square secure lock nipples, wrench design for internal nipples can be used for truing from inside which make it easier.
2.Spokes are longer than expected.
By using double square secure lock nipples, the spokes should be 2mm longer than those using polyax secure lock nipples. As a result, changing nipples to DSN can be an ideal solution when the spokes prepared is longer.
3.For aesthetic purpose
The nipple surface is not getting scratched on visible areas while truing from inside.
