Color painting is also optional for our rims. The whole rim will be painted except for the tire bed. Kindly send us the pantone number and we will paint the rim accordingly. $15 will be charged per rim if color painting is needed. And the rim weight will increase 15g~20g.

Functional difference:

Tubelss Ready: Tubeless tapes will be needed cause holes are drilled to allow the nipples to access the rim capsule easily. The application of tubeless tape on the rim bed will help to seal the holes. The tubeless ready rim has bead lock design which helps the tubeless tire and wheel rim seal each other when inflated.

Tubeless: Tubeless rim tapes are not longer necessary to seal the rim cause holes are not drilled in the rim bed. It becomes easier for riders when they are swapping tires on and off cause they don’t need to worry about re-taping. The valve hole becomes the only reason which may result in leaking.

However, as there are no holes in the rim bed to allow nipples to access the rim capsule easily compared to the normal Rim-Bed-Hole drilled rims, it takes much time for a mechanic to build the wheels, which result in higher building cost future maintaining cost.

External/Internal nipple holes

You can choose either internal nipple holes or external nipple holes when you are ordering.

The diameter of the external nipple hole is 4.5mm(Standard option).

The diameter of the internal nipple hole is 2.5mm (Optional).

Custom drilling pattern for 2:1

1.even holes

①The first spoke hole on the right side of the valve hole is drilled downward for non-drive side.

②③The first spoke hole on the right side of the valve hole is drilled upward for drive side.

But ② and ③ are with different lacing due to different hubs designs.

Please send us your lacing pattern when special drilling is required.

2.G3.

The diameter of Presta valve hole is 6.5mm (standard option).

The diameter of Schrader valve hole is 8.0mm.

All of our rims come standard with a valve hole drilled for Presta valves.

We can also drill valve holes for Schrader valves.

While Mountain bikes will sometimes have Schrader valves, it is very unusual to have Schrader valves on higher-end mountain bikes or road bikes.

If you would like to use the rim for particular purpose such as extreme riding condition, E-bikes, tandems, recumbent bike or wheelchair, please send us your requirements in details. We will refer to our engineers and they will design the layout accordingly for rim reinforcement.

Our engineer will evaluate whether we can meet your requirements. If yes, he will design a special layup for you using different grades of carbon fiber.

Ai, asymmetrically offset shifts the rear hub and drivetrain 3mm/6mm to the right, delivering super short chainstays without any of the usual compromises, and a rear wheel that is dramatically stiffer and stronger because the spoke tension and angles are equal on both sides.

To make our wheels compatible with AI system, 3mm/6mm will be taken into consideration when we are building the wheels.
